“How many hours of wedding photography do I need?” I hear this question a lot so I want to give you my suggestion!
To capture the vibe of the whole day I recommend having photography coverage from about one hour before you’re ready until one hour into dancing. Typically this range is 6-8 hours of photography coverage.
Everyone’s wedding is different – getting ready sites, locations, and timings or special reception events such as sparkler exits might mean you want to start coverage sooner or extend it throughout the night. The best way to know for sure is to work with your photographer to find the right amount of time together! I love helping with timelines and collaborating together.
I want to help all of my couples find the perfect amount of coverage they need! It’s not my goal to up-sell or trick anyone into higher cost collections. I’m honest and want to give you the absolute best experience customized to you.
And when in doubt, I always suggest booking for fewer hours because you can always add time to your collection as you finalize your timeline.
