Intimate Cape Cod Elopement

It was so much fun hanging out with Liz + Anthony for their intimate Cape Cod elopement! Although it was a smaller wedding, there was no shortage of love in the air. One of the main reasons L + A chose to elope instead of have a larger wedding is because they both have large families, and knew that a large wedding meant pushing their date back by quite a bit. At the end of the day, they knew that they just wanted to be married already. If you’re engaged and you’ve been feeling the same way, take this as a sign to elope with your love!

And remember, and elopement doesn’t mean that it has to be just the two of you. Liz + Anthony still had a guest list – just a more intimate one that included their closest loved ones. And then a month later, they announced their marriage to the rest of their family and friends at Anthony’s “surprise” birthday party!

Liz + Anthony’s Intimate Cape Cod Elopement

As we were chatting before the wedding, Liz + Anthony knew exactly what they wanted their priorities to be. They wanted someone who could capture their love, their family, their faith, and of course, the ocean! You can’t have an intimate Cape Cod wedding without wanting to showcase the beautiful scenery that it has to offer. It even ended up raining on their wedding day, but these guys weren’t phased by it. We simply pulled out an umbrella, and kept having fun! New England weather can really create unique moments and memories on your day.

Because L + A had their priorities in order beforehand, this allowed them to sit back and relax on the day of their wedding. I knew exactly what was important to them, which allowed me to capture their day authentically and just how they wanted. And of course, the amount of trust they put in me to document their wedding was amazing! I love when couples are comfortable and confident in me to do what I’m best at. We even created a timeline that allowed them to enjoy their day, each other, plenty of time for fun and stunning photos, and the celebration!

The buzz of excitement while everyone got ready definitely didn’t go unnoticed. You could tell just how much Liz + Anthony were loved by how happy everyone was to be apart of their day. Once the bride and groom were ready, we headed to St. Joseph’s Chapel for their ceremony! Once they were finally married, we took tons of great photos before the reception started.

We didn’t let the rain stop us!

Because of the timeline of the day, we only had time for portraits during the midday. When Liz was inquiring with photographers, most of them told her that that time wouldn’t work, and they wouldn’t be able to get any otherwise. But I assured Liz that we were going to get amazing photos no matter what time of day it was! She put total trust in me, and I’m so happy that she did. The portraits we took of the happy couple are beyond stunning. Like I mentioned earlier, we got out in the rain for some memorable images and time for them! As soon as we were done with the portraits, we headed to their Italian reception at La Cucina Sul Mare in Falmouth, MA.

It was such a pleasure working with Liz + Anthony capturing their special day. These two are incredibly fun and love each other so much you can immediately hear it in their voices and feel it when you meet them. Everyone had a blast at their celebration because they are so fun to be around, and their happiness is contagious. Liz + Antony, I wish you nothing but the best on your new chapter together!
